Adrien Lavergne is a first year graduate student in French Linguistics with interests in phonetics, phonology, and historical linguistics. He owes his interest in French in part to his French grandmother and his Cajun grandfather along with his relatives that currently live in France. He has been fascinated with French since his first encounter with the language and to this day he still finds himself fascinated by its sounds and structures.
He graduated with a B.A. in French from Baylor University in December 2012 with minors in Music and Film and Digital Media. While at Baylor, he tutored students in French and led a French conversation group.
His interests include French, Linguistics, music, technology, and any ways in which those things intersect. As one might expect, a French musical group that produces electronic music with lyrics that often put more emphasis on sound than meaning would be very appealing to him.
