Ashley Voeks



Ashley is a current graduate student and Walther Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in French Studies. She holds a M.A. in French Literature from Wayne State University, and a B.A. in French from Oakland University.

Her research interests include les Grands Rhétoriqueurs of the early Renaissance, as well as Renaissance poetry and prose. She recently completed a Master’s essay entitled, “Les Tragiques: la rhétorique de la violence et la violence de la rhétorique,” focusing on the poetics of an epic by 16th-century French writer, Théodore Agrippa d’Aubigné.
