Biography

Yasmina Fawaz was born in Ivory Coast where she spent most of her childhood. She earned a BA in English Literature and in French from Andrews University in Michigan as well as a Master of Arts in French Literature from the University of Georgia. She is currently working on her PhD in French Studies here at the University of Texas. Her research interests are centered around the question of identity construction in West African Literature, Ecocriticism as well as Gender studies.
