Grounding in the basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In the first year of Italian, students will learn most of the basic grammar structures of the Italian language. By the end of ITL 506, we expect students to be able to carry on a basic conversation in Italian with good pronunciation and correct use of the grammar learned. Presentation on modern culture will be included to give a living context for language learning.
