FR 372 • Comparative Stylistics

Course Description

A comparative study of French and English grammar and usage. French grammatical and idiomatic patterns will be analyzed and practiced through translation, mostly from English to French. Various registers of language will be dealt with.

exam 1: 25%
exam 2: 25%
exam 3: 25%

Homework assignments and class participation: 25%
