Course Description

This course will examine key moments in the birth and development of modern and contemporary Italy through an interdisciplinary approach. We will draw on a variety of materials—poetry, theatre, fiction, history and journalism; films, art, comics and music--to identify the social and political aspects that have been most influential in shaping the cultural identity of Italy as we know it today.

Grading Policy

semester project ( 2 papers) 25% two exams 50% quizzes, presentations and participation 25%
