Course Description

This course will be taught in Italian. The goal of this course is the students' progress and improvement in the Italian language and a deeper understanding of the Italian culture through performing art skills. Students will study the works of Dacia Maraini and will then focus on one of her plays which they will memorize and rehearse. There will be a formal presentation of the play at the end of the semester. Students will be asked to attend most of the rehearsals in the first part of the semester and all of them in the second part of the semester. ASSIGNMENTS: Analysis of Maraini's works and the chosen play; memorization of one of the characters Group discussions in class One paper and one oral report Regular attendance during class time and most of the rehearsals is required
