Course Description
Development of the ability to function in French in business-related situations, both orally and in writing. Taught in French. The objective is to introduce students to the two main requirements for successfully conducting business in French: savoir-faire (the technical, cultural and practical aspects of business in France) and savoir-dire (the vocabulary and structures needed to communicate in a business setting).
Grading Policy
Exams (3 full-period exams)= 30% Quizzes (frequent short quizzes=30% Written homework=30% (as all assignments will be quite short, no late homework will be accepted) Participation in class projects=10% Final Exam: No
Optional: Exam for certification by la Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris. Details concerning this exam will be given in class.
