Faculty member receives prestigious research grant
Marc Bizer honored
Associate Professor Marc Bizer has been awarded a Research Grant in the Senior Scholar category from the Renaissance Society of America for his project on "An Epic Longing: Homer and the Politics of Authority in Renaissance France."
Since 1954, the Renaissance Society of America has been the leading organization in the Americas for the interdisciplinary study of the period 1300-1650 in Western history. The RSA brings together members from many backgrounds who are interested in a wide variety of disciplines related to this period.
These awards will support associate professors with more than two years at that rank, full professors, retired professors, and senior independent scholars.
