Frequently Asked Questions
How do I audit a course?
An auditor attends class but doesn’t hand in papers, take part in discussions, receive evaluations, or earn any credit. To audit, fill out a Class Auditor Permit pdf.
Auditing is allowed by a course's instructor when space is available.
A student who wants to audit should complete the above form and get consent from both the instructor and his or her dean. (Law students can't audit law courses.)
A nonstudent under age 65 needs instructor consent, and will pay $20 per course to the cashiers in Main Bldg room 8.
