Interests
Biogeography, landscape ecology, conservation, ornithology, tropical forests, nature-society interactionsBiography
I have broad interests in biogeography, landscape ecology, and conservation, with specializations in Neotropical forest bird communities, plant-animal relationships, and habitat selection. I use field surveys, geospatial technologies, and statistical modeling to understand relationships between animal, plant, and habitat distributions at a variety of spatial scales. Places I have worked include Peru, Panama, Thailand, and several regions in the US; regions of particular current research interest are western Amazonia and west Texas.
