Robert Lemon has been invited to present his most recent work, "Measuring the Social Constructs of Space: Using GIS to Quantify Boundary Perceptions of Demographically Distinct Neighborhoods in Oakland, CA" at The Yale School of Architecture's symposium, "Positioning Global Systems." The symposium will examine local manifestations of the built environment within the context of global processes. Robert was asked to present on how architects could derive meaning from geographic information to design for ephemeral community infrastructures. Robert's Oakland project synthesizes approaches in neighborhood planning and GIS and applies it to urban-scape design.
