On Sunday April 19, at 3:00 pm, Mr. Ron Hunka will present "Impressions of Austria" based on his travels to and stays in small towns across Austria. His talk includes slides from the provinces of Vorarlberg, Steiermark, Niederoesterreich, and Oberoesterreich. Mr. Hunka is a former GTHS Journal book review editor and a freelance magazine writer. The event is free of charge and open to the public. There will be a reception afterwards, and visitors can explore this lovely building that was built in 1857 by German settlers to Texas. It is on the city and state historic registers, and served as the first charter school in Austin.
