As part of the on-going developiment of the Texas German Dialect Project, a resource documenting Texas' linguistic heritage, Hans Boas has won a grant from the Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services to expand a Texas German History timeline. That timeline documents the immigration of German speakers into Texas, and offers documentation of the names and places marking German influence on the state's history.
This resource is fee and open to the public. It includes historical information, pdfs of texts, and links to other resources, organized chronologically. The grant will be used to key this data geospatially, as well.
