Course Description
Course number may be repeated for credit when topics vary. Upper-division standing required. This class surveys American grand strategy. Drawing on historical and contemporary cases, we will consider how presidents set the country's geopolitical priorities and how and why those priorities have changed over time. The class is designed to increase your knowledge of how US foreign policy is made and why Americas leaders pursue the grand strategies they do
