Course Description

A study of Aristotle's treatise that laid the philosophic foundations for the science of politics, conceived as a simultaneously normative and empirical science, and as a science independent of the other natural sciences, because dealing with human phenomena that are irreducible on account of existing only in and through potentially rational moral discourse and behavior determined by such discourse. Some reading knowledge of Greek recommended.
