Course Description
This course investigates how and why the United States interacts with and participates in international institutions. The course draws on political science theory and data as well as contemporary policy debates examining U.S. activity and participation in international security, economic, and environmental regimes. The course also examines policies of democracy promotion and humanitarian intervention.
Grading Policy
Grading will consist of one 3-5 page paper (25% each), two exams (25% each) and attendance and biweekly quizzes (25%).
