Course Description
CANCELLED Course number may be repeated for credit when topics vary. Contains a substantial writing component and fulfills part of the basic education requirement in writing.
This course is designed to introduce students to the contemporary politics of Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. The course will examine state structures, political institutions and processes, and a number of topical issues such as ethnic conflict, economic liberalization, terrorism, and political development.
