Course Description

An extended and reasonably sympathetic study of Rawl’s work on justice; and the seminar will have the additional advantage of running a close comparison of Rawl’s views on justice with those held (in spite of disavowals) by Marx. The seminar will also go into a comparison of their views on how to make the character of daily work self-fulfilling.
