Course Description

Contains a substantial writing component and fulfills part of the basic education requirement in writing. Presentation of principal contemporary political institutions as seen in the UK, France, Russia, Japan, China, Brazil, South Africa, and Iran (eight significantly different forms of democracy, and one authoritarianism).

Grading Policy

10-page paper (50%). Four exercises. No exams.
