Contains a substantial writing component and fulfills part of the basic education requirement in writing. Upper-division standing required. Course number may be repeated for credit when the topics vary. In this course we will examine party polarization in the electorate as well as the legislature. We will examine the methods of measuring, the causes, and the consequences of polarization.
