Course Description
Consent of the Graduate Adviser must be obtained. Graduate standing required. This course provides a comprehensive overview of the broad and heterogeneous field of Comparative Politics. We will first examine the comparative method and discuss different strategies of investigation. We will then analyze a variety of theoretical approaches and assess their usefulness. Finally, we will examine analyses of a wide range of substantive issues. In this way, you will become familiar with the pluralism of extant approaches and the most important research questions and answers in Comparative Politics.
