Course Description

Fulfills second half of legislative requirement for 6 hours of American government. Offered on the letter-grade basis only. May be taken for credit only once. This course provides a broad overview to a number of marginalized groups in the United States. Prior to our study of both the history of the group and the current issues of importance to the groups, we will theoretically analyze the role played by marginalized groups in our political process.

Grading Policy

Class Participation: 20% 3-page Reflection: 10% Midterm Exam I: 15% Midterm Exam II: 15% Midterm Exam III: 15% Final Exam: 25%
