Three-Day Conference on Immigration
The Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LLILAS) at the University of Texas at Austin is organizing the conference Migration during an Era of Restriction, November 4-6, 2009. Scholars and legal experts will address immigration policy issues and present research findings concerning migration developments in Europe and the United States, as well as in sending communities. Through panel presentations and roundtable discussions, the conference seeks to address the economic, social, and legal restrictions that are affecting international migrant populations in these regions.
