Measuring the Obama Effect in Texas

Professor Richard Murray, Director of the Survey Research Institute and Professor of Political Science at the University of Houston, will give a talk: "Measuring the Obama Effect in Texas: How Did a Black Candidate Impact Voting in a Red State?"
Later that day, Professor Murray will also be a guest in a special version of the Texas Politics Speaker Series cosponsored by the Center for Politics and Governance and the Austin chapter of the University of Houston Alumni Association. Professor Murray's public talk, "Will Texas Become a Two-Party State Again? And, If So, When?" will take place on May 4 at 6 pm in the Bass Lecture Hall at the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
