Conference: "The Constitution and the Family in Comparative Perspective"

The family is ubiquitous in its recognition as an institution entitled to protection from the State. Most constitutions recognize it as such, and international treaties and human rights charters accord it a privileged place as an institution whose rights are to be guaranteed? But what exactly are these rights? Are they to be extended to the vastly expanded definition of the family that has emerged in recent decades? What does the enforcement of such rights reveal about tThis event is free and open to the public.
