Prof. Wendy Hunter Publishes Paper on the Workers' Party in Brazil

Wendy Hunter

Associate Professor Wendy Hunter has published "The Normalization of an Anomaly: The Workers' Party in Brazil" in World Politics 59:3 (April 2007), pp. 440- 475.

Blending rational choice and historical institutionalism, this article analyzes the transformation of Brazil's Workers' Party from a tight-knit group of left-wing radicals to a more mainstream party that managed to capture the government and that has enacted surprisingly moderate policies. The article presents the central arguments of Prof. Hunter's book manuscript, which is under contract with Cambridge University Press.
