Research Interests: Fred Cady is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Government at the University of Texas-Austin. His research interests include political party change in Latin America, most specifically in Mexico. His dissertation explores how the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) has transformed since losing national power in 2000. He has previously published works focusing on water policy along the U.S.- Mexico border and Southwestern United States. Cady is currently teaching at Hartwick College in New York. He previously served as a visiting instructor at the University of Miami and Spring Hill College in Alabama. His teaching areas include comparative politics (Latin American politics specialty), international relations, American politics, and public policy (immigration and water policy specialties). Fred Cady earned his B.A. and MPA from the University of Texas-El Paso.
