Biography
Abby is a PhD candidate in political science at the University of Texas at Austin. Her primary research areas are comparative and American judicial politics. She also conducts research on comparative institutional design, judicial behavior, constitutional law, and American politics.
She earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Michigan in 2004.
Abby’s dissertation includes a comparison of constitutional review and judicial-legislative relations in the US, France, and United Kingdom. She will spend academic year 2012-13 in Oxford to study the UK Supreme Court as a visiting student at the University of Oxford Centre for Socio-Legal Studies.
She spent academic year 2011-2012 in Paris to study the French Constitutional Council as a visiting researcher at the Center for European Studies at Sciences Po Paris.
Her research is supported by fellowships from the Center for European Studies and the University of Texas at Austin.
