Current Class Announcements

The next meeting of the Fall 2009 interns will be Tuesday, September 15 at 5 pm in Batts 5.108.  NOTE THAT THIS IS A CHANGE FROM THE SYLLABUS.

There have been questions about books for the course. Per the syllabus (which you can find on the forms page in the navigation on the left side of this page), the main reading assignment for the semester is the lecture by Max Weber, "Politics as a Vocation."  There is a bibliographic citation for it in the syllabus, but you can link to the essay here for free.

You can find Karen Olsson's Waterloo, which you will need to read for the second paper, used at numerous online sources for a small fraction of what it would cost you at the Co-op.  As such, I have not ordered it there.  (For an example of just how inexpensively you can obtain the book by just acting now, see this page at Amazon.com, which is just one option.)
