Perry, White remain frontrunners in gubernatorial primaries

The University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll has released February numbers, which show Rick Perry and Bill White leading their respective primaries. In the Republican contest, Perry holds a 24-point lead over Kay Bailey Hutchison, with Debra Medina giving Hutchison a strong challenge for second place. In the Democratic primary, Bill White holds a 34-point lead over Farouk Shami.
Election match-up results are also posted at the Texas Politics polling section. More results and data files including comprehensive crosstabs will be posted for open access by Feb. 15.
