Included in the issue is an article by Department of Government graduate student Michelle Wolfe, "Putting on the Brakes or Pressing on the Gas? Media Attention and the Speed of Policymaking," which draws attention to the media's role in not only accelerating large-scale policy change, but the ways in which the media slow down policy change and reinforce system stability.
