Counterterrorism and the Israeli Secret Services – Pedahzur’s New Book Now Available
Posted: February 11, 2009
Ami Pedahzur’s The Israeli Secret Services and the Struggle Against Terrorism has been released by Columbia University Press. Through detailed and historical analysis, Pedahzur demonstrates that the efforts of elected officials to provide effective, immediate relief to the psychological impact of terrorism debilitate Israeli counterterrorism policies.
Pedahzur’s work has drawn significant media attention, for example in The Austin American Statesman and The New York Post, and he contributed to The New York Times following November’s terrorist attacks in Mumbai. He also manages the Terrorists, Insurgents, and Guerrilla Education and Research – T.I.G.E.R. – website. T.I.G.E.R. is being transformed into a research lab where, beginning with Amanda Skuldt and Susanne Martin, graduate and undergraduate students will put T.I.G.E.R. data to work.
