Peter Trubowitz Appointed to Task Force on U.S. Standing in World Affairs

Peter Trubowitz has been appointed to the American Political Science Association’s Task Force on U.S. Standing in World Affairs. APSA President Peter J. Katzenstein appointed Trubowitz to head the U.S. Polity Group of the project.
Trubowitz specializes in international relations and foreign policy. His most recent publications focus on U.S. grand strategy and include an article co-authored with Charles Kupchan that appeared in International Security. Trubowitz and Kupchan argue that the geopolitical and domestic conditions that made bipartisan consensus over liberal internationalism possible during much of the second half of the twentieth century have disappeared. The article has sparked lively debate about the future of American statecraft.
