Undergraduate Advising Office

The Undergraduate Advising Center is open Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30 pm. Our office is located in BAT 2.102. Batts Hall is south of the UT Tower and Inner Campus Drive.

Our office provides one-on-one counseling regarding degree plans, course descriptions, scholarships, internships, study abroad programs, honors programs, petitions, special waivers, scholastic probation, and transfer of credit. We also assist students with class registration, the add/drop process, and long-term planning. Except during registration periods, our office sees students on an appointment basis. We encourage students to make appointments at least one day in advance. To schedule an appointment, please call 512-232-7283, or drop by our office. Please do not attempt to schedule appointments via e-mail or voicemail.

While advising is not required for students unless they are new to the major or on scholastic probation, we recommend all majors visit our office regularly (especially during their last two years of coursework).
