Course Description

In this course, students will explore the varied roles the state has played in the development of the U.S. economy since the mid-19th century. Topics include anti-trust, social costs, labor relations, corporate advertising, and the environment.

Grading Policy

40% of the grade is based on class discussion. 60% of the grade is based on five written assignments. Students will write five papers ranging from four to seven pages in length.
