Course Description
This is an introduction to the history of "the West" from the 16th Century to the end of the 20th. We will include political, economic, social, scientific and cultural developments from the Renaissance to the end of the Cold War. There is a heavy emphasis on reading and analyzing primary sources (sources written contemporary to the time being studied) in this course.
