Course Description
This course examines the history of Mexican women in the United States. Starting with the Mexican Revolution, which led to the first significant migration of Mexicans to the United States, we will look at lives and roles of Mexican and Mexican American women in this country and along the U.S.-Mexican border. We will explore how race, gender, class and religion shape the experience of Mexican American women, and how the writing of their history has changed in the last one hundred years.
