Course Description

This course will provide a comprehensive overview of the major scholarship in twentieth century African American History. Particular attention will be paid to different historiographical issues and debates in the field.

Grading Policy

Class engagement Ten 3-5 page assessments of the week’s readings over the course of the semester. Large historiographical essay or paper based on original research
