Other authors will include Jocelin of Brakelond (monastic life), Galbert of Bruges (urban life and strife), Robert of Clari (a soldier's life), Matthew Paris (political and Church affairs), and two friars who were missionaries to the Mongols.

Grading Policy

Grades will be based on class participation (20%), a 20 page 1st draft (20%) and a 20 page final draft of your seminar paper (50%), and a 10+ page set of evaluations of the papers of the other students in the class (10%).
