Lecture: CMAS Distinguished Faculty Lecture Series 2010

Thu, March 25, 2010 • 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM • San Jacinto Conference Center 207AB

Emilio Zamora, professor of history at The University Texas at Austin, will present the Jovita González Memorial Lecture in the Arts and Humanities entitled "Translating the First World War, My Continuing Work on José de la Luz Saenz." Three other associates of the Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS) will also make presentations as part of the lecture series.

The lectures are presented by faculty associates of CMAS who are either in their first year of service at the university or who have been recently promoted to tenure or full professor. The lecture series is a way to honor faculty while encouraging the further development of their research and mobility through the faculty ranks. For 2010, CMAS will host both lectures as part of one scheduled program.
