Apply for merit-based scholarships

The Dr. Bailey R. Collins/Ellene Collins Ward/Mary Sue Collins Hibbs Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship and awarded by the nomination of the History Department. This scholarship funds two or more students with a possibility of being awarded at least $1,000.

Apply online through UT Direct for the Hibbs Scholarship.

Requirements:

  1. History major with a 3.75 UT GPA
  2. 30 hours in residence at The University of Texas at Austin
  3. Full-time enrollment (at least 12 hours) during both Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters
  4. Personal statement and resume must be submitted, but no letter of recommendation is required.

Applying for this scholarship automatically makes a student eligible for the Raymond Starr Texas Exes Scholarship of $1,000.
