Please join us for a book discussion with eminent scholar of the Cold War and Yale historian John Lewis Gaddis on his new biography, George F. Kennan: An American Life. Gaddis is a native of Cotulla, Texas and one of the most distinguished graduates from the University of Texas at Austin, receiving his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees here. He is now the Robert Lovett Professor of History at Yale University. Professor Gaddis is widely recognized as the most influential historian of American foreign policy of his generation. He has published ground-breaking books on the origins of the Cold War, the formation of American containment strategy, and the course of the Cold War, among other topics.
