Gender Symposium

Fri, September 9, 2005 • 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM • GAR 100

The Gender Symposium would like to invite all students and faculty to our fall panel discussion titled, "The Past, Present, and Future of Women,Gender, and Sexuality Studies." During the symposium, five faculty panelists, who hail from a variety of disciplines, will discuss the personal development and use of gender, women, and sexuality in their own work. After an hour of formal resentation, we will open up the room for questions and comments.

For anyone engaging with women, gender, and sexuality in their intellectual inquiries, this panel presentation will provide substantial examples of the use of these tools. Additionally, we hope to collectively discuss a range of important theoretical and methodological issues that one might encounter when considering the role of gender, women, and sexuality in their own work. If you have questions or are interested in presenting your work in our relaxed and collegial atmosphere, please contact the Gender Symposium Committee at gender@uts.cc.utexas.edu.
