History of Science Colloquium Presents a Talk by Dr. Adam Lucas

The History of Science Colloquium welcomes Dr. Adam Lucas, a historian of medieval technology, who will present "Narratives of Technological Revolution in the Middle Ages." As Dr. Lucas examines whether there was in fact a "technological revolution" in the Middle Ages, he also addresses the broader question of how and why historians have talked so much about "revolutions" of various kinds. The paper will be pre-circulated and available for pickup in the History Department's main off
