Biography

I am currently completing a doctoral dissertation entitled, Sexualized Nationalism: Lagos and the Politics of Illicit Sexuality in Colonial Nigeria, 1918-1958. I have published journal articles, book chapters, book reviews and encyclopedia entries on gender and sexuality; historiography and nationalism; peace and conflict; and African diaspora. My co-authored book, History and the Nation-State: Nigeria and its Nationalist Historians is forthcoming from University of Rochester Press.
