LLILAS promotes cross-cultural academic exchange with China
History prof. among leading scholars in Latin American studies exchange new research at conference in China

The event is co-hosted by the School of International Studies at Peking University and the General Academic Coordination Office at the Colegio de México.
Jonathan Brown, professor of history and associate director of LLILAS, proposed the academic exchange project to deepen cooperation, innovation and collaboration of advanced research with China's most prestigious university.
"As the world continues to become more globalized, our students need to gain real-world knowledge about other countries and cultures," Brown said. "China is the fastest growing destination for study abroad programs in the United States. We aim to foster even greater exchange by bringing more Chinese graduate students to UT."
