UT undergraduate studies at Princeton this summer

Posted: July 20, 2007

Ho is a double major in English and History. As a student in Assistant Professor James Wilson's class on the History of Colonialism in Africa, "she quickly developed a keen interest in the history of 'colonized peoples,"' Wilson said.

"Christine Ho is a straight A student... She has taken two classes with me, and is one of the best history undergraduate students we have."

Wilson had worked with this program as a graduate student at Princeton himself and suggested Ho apply. "This program is for underrepresented undergraduates interested in becoming professors," Wilson explained.

When Ho and several of her colleagues were featured on the Princeton web site recently, she sent an e-mail to let everyone know. "I thought this would be exciting news to share with my friends, professors and family! Again, thank you for all your support, and I hope you are all having a wonderful summer!"

It certainly sounds like she is "having a wonderful summer."
