Prof. Metzler receives a Hamilton Book Award

The University Co-op honors leading University of Texas authors with the Hamilton Awards, given to five professors annually for books published within the previous year.
Professor Metzler was awarded a cash prize of $3,000 for his work, which focused on Japan’s financial history and the gold standard. The Hamilton Book Awards, established in 1997, are in honor of Robert W. Hamilton, past chairperson of the Co-op for 12 years.
