Black Herstory Conference Honors Juliet E.K. Walker

History professor to receive Lucy Terry Prince Award

The banguet will be held at the Goizueta Business School on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta, GA on March 23-25.

"Women in Economic and Social Entrepreneurships: Our Birthright!" is the theme for 2006 conference. This annual event is designed to bring together community members, scholars, educators, students and professionals to examine individual and cultural histories related to women throughout the African Diaspora. This conference includes plenary sessions, a book fair, luncheon, theatrical and musical celebrations and the much anticipated awards banquet.

The National Black Herstory Task Force, Inc. sponsor of this event is a nonprofit cultural and educational organization founded to provide vehicles to chronicle and celebrate the legacy and lives of women of African descent and their alliances worldwide.
